About HYPERLABS and Innovation at Hyperspeed™
HYPERLABS has been building better test and measurement equipment since 1992. The company was founded in Beaverton, Oregon by a former Chief Engineer at Tektronix.
Improving the Test and Measurement Experience
Before we came along, test and measurement equipment was bulky, power-hungry, and prohibitively expensive.
HYPERLABS changed that by introducing a line of high-performance time domain reflectometer instruments that ran on regular Windows PCs, eliminating the need for benchtop test stations.
By removing unnecessary hardware and software, HYPERLABS was able to offer high-quality solutions for a fraction of the competition’s prices.
The World’s First USB-based TDRs
In 2005, HYPERLABS changed the game again by designing the first USB-powered and -controlled TDRs. These instruments, which turn any PC into a versatile test and measurement station, have proven so popular that all of our instruments are now USB-based.
Today, our line of TDRs and Signal Path Analyzers continue to provide cutting-edge performance, unmatched ease-of-use, and unparalleled value.
Building the World’s Best Baluns
In 2012 HYPERLABS introduced the first in a long line of ultrabroadband RF components.
Our baluns, designed using our expertise in controlled impedance lines, have become the gold standard in terms of bandwidth, amplitude match, phase match, and other performance characteristics.
Expansion and Growth
In 2019, we opened our new Engineering Lab in Louisville, Colorado.
This office, led by former Picosecond Pulse Labs (PSPL) engineers, focuses on cutting-edge component and instrumentation designs for high-speed data and other next-gen applications.
The Louisville team is responsible for such products as our industry-best 110 GHz components, as well as an expansive line of other ultrabroadband RF components.
The Innovation Never Ends
We’ve come a long way in our first 30 years, but we’re not stopping there.
Our mantra is Innovation at Hyperspeed™, and that mission never ends. Every day, we’re imagining new ways to make test and measurement better, easier, and more intuitive.
Our Executive Team
HYPERLABS INC. was founded in 1992 by Agoston Agoston, Ph.D., Electro-physics (Oregon State University, 1986), MBA (University of Oregon, 1993).
Previously, Dr. Agoston worked as a Chief Engineer at Tektronix, where he designed a variety of oscilloscopes, signal analyzers, and TDR sampling heads. He was also a Senior Design Engineer at Picosecond Pulse Labs.
Jason Yoho joined HYPERLABS in 2019 as the Vice President of Engineering. He holds a BSEE (Clemson University, 1996), an MSEE, and a Ph.D. (Virginia Polytechnic Institute, 1998, 2001).
Previously, Dr. Yoho worked as a Senior Design Engineer at Picosecond Pulse Labs and Tektronix focusing in ultra-broadband components, broadband time domain instrumentation\measurements, and high bandwidth pulse and pattern generation development.
Madrone Coopwood joined HYPERLABS as Chief Engineer in 2020. He holds a BSEE (University of Wyoming, 1995).
Previously, Madrone worked as Senior Design Engineer at Picosecond Pulse Labs and Tektronix focusing on ultra-broadband components, broadband time domain instrumentation\measurements, and high bandwidth pulse and pattern generator development.
Brian Doxey joined HYPERLABS in 2012 in an operations and management role. He holds a B.S. Economics (University of Utah, 2005) and a J.D. (University of Illinois, 2009).
